McDonald
Ian McDonald is the Green Party Candidate for Marden and Yalding and has been a resident in Maidstone for 15 years. Ian is 62 years old, married and until retiring was a public transport clerical worker. He has a keen interest in international affairs and is also very active in environmental issues. Ian campaigns to improve life for all residents of Maidstone.
In feels the most pressing issues in Maidstone are the need for:
· Comprehensive doorstep recycling of waste
· A clean up of abandoned or neglected properties
· More traffic calming measures
· Greater bus service provision on Sundays
· Stronger action against vehicles causing obstructions
Ian is a member of several campaigning organisations with considerable experience in publicizing issues of concern. He will bring issues into open debate ensuring that they are not ignored.
Ian’s message is: “Vote for the Green Party, not the Grey parties!”
Ian stood in the 2005 County Council elections for Maidstone Central division and in the 2006 local election in Fant Ward.
