Keep Our NHS Public - Not for Sale

Maidstone Green Party's campaign to Keep Our NHS Public.

Across England, NHS patients, local communities and local Green Parties have been linking up with nurses, doctors and other health care workers to meet, march, protest and lobby as they fight to stop further closures and cuts in local NHS services.

However alongside the cuts, an unprecedented process of privatisation is under way: vital services and precious NHS resources are being handed over to the private sector, including companies run for profit for shareholders here and overseas.

Now is the time to fight back to Keep Our NHS Public! In Kent a local branch of 'KONP' is directing campaigning and we are closely involved with them.

The Green Party is the only major party that is opposed to the privatisation of the NHS. The LibDems, Tories and Labour are all in favour of selling off our world beating service.

Maidstone Greens will be campaigning in support of the Keep Our NHS Public campaign by collecting signatures from Maidstone residents for the national petition. We will be going door to door to spread this message but if you are not in when we call, completing the form below will add your signature to the petition.

The petition:

We the undersigned are opposed to any further expansion of the role of  private sector providers in the National Health Service. We call for continued access to local, publicly provided health services.
